She was widowed at the age of 23 years with four children, as her husband died due to lack of medical treatment which they couldn’t afford. While she worked as a house maid, vegetable vendor and manual labour, she went on to build a charitable hospital called Humanity Hospital which offers free medical treatment to the poor.

Awarded with Padma Shri (2021), India’s fourth highest civilian honour, amongst 700 other awards.

Born in abject poverty, she was abandoned by her husband which forced her into street-begging to feed her children and herself. She raised more than 1500 orphan children and fought for rights of displaced tribals.

Born in abject poverty and raised as an orphan, she began her career as a toilet cleaner and later joined Emirates Airlines as a flight attendant.

She was filled with the purpose of raising 600 children and 100 families of the slums of Dhaka, Bangladesh. To raise funds for the same, she went on to break 10 world records of the Guinness Book in order to receive the award money needed to fund her mission.
