These statements are the quintessence of the respective Veda they belong to. It is said that the rest of the Veda is only a preparation of the mind to receive the\u00a0<em>Mah\u0101-v\u0101kya<\/em>, or the Great Saying. These sayings were delivered to the pupils after 7 to 24 years of education. One of these\u00a0<em>Mah\u0101-v\u0101kya<\/em>\u00a0is also imparted as an initiation\u00a0<em>ma\u1e45tra<\/em>\u00a0for contemplation to the aspirant becoming a monk through total renunciation called\u00a0<em>sa\u1e45y\u0101sa<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u0100di \u015aa\u1e45kar\u0101c\u0101rya, in his commentary on the\u00a0<em>Aitareya Upani\u1e63ad<\/em>, says that the\u00a0<em>Mah\u0101-v\u0101kya\u00a0<\/em>is in fact the kettle-drums to awaken the mind to the Truth by cleansing the memory of conditioned thinking patterns. These four great teachings are reflected in the single word OM. In English, these four statements are reflected in\u00a0<em>Ivalyou<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space alter_height=&#8221;small&#8221; hide_on_desktop=&#8221;&#8221; style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When fully understood, <em>Ivalyou<\/em>\u00a0is a spark that ignites the quest for deeper understanding, practice and perfection of the ONE-consciousness, burning down the obstacles and impurities of separated-ness on the way, lifting the veil of the illusion of separation between I and you, between us and they, between we and all others including all the beings and the whole of Earth, the Creation and the Existence itself.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The Holy Bible:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So in everything,\u00a0<strong>do to others what you would have them do to you<\/strong>, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Jesus Christ, The Holy Bible, Matthews 7.12, and, Luke 6.31<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Charles Gibson (1604) called this verse the\u00a0<strong>Golden Rule<\/strong>. It is denoted not by the sound of OM but the inevitable silence that forms it.\u00a0<em>Maitr\u0101ya\u1e47iya<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Upani\u1e63ad<\/em>\u00a0states that all of the speech is included in AUM-sound. A-sound is the first articulation point of speech in the throat where all sounds arise. Therefore, A-sound is the first letter of the alphabet of all languages in the world. U-sound is the last and final sound articulated at the lips as the breath is pushed away into infinity. Between the throat and the lips, between the A-and the U-sounds, lies all articulated speech of any language. The M-sound is the closing vibratory nasalization of speech leading into deep silence. In this silence arises the un-struck, unarticulated, unitary awareness of OM.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phonetically,\u00a0<em>Ivalyou<\/em>\u00a0is contained within the A-sound (of\u00a0<em>I, pronounced as \u2018Aye\u2019<\/em>) and U-sound of (of\u00a0<em>You<\/em>). The consonant M-sound is contained in the articulation of the word\u00a0<em>val<\/em>\u00a0which denotes the infinite, indivisible, unitary ONE-ness between A and U sound, between I and YOU.\u00a0<em>Val<\/em>\u00a0in Sa\u1e43sk\u1e5bt means to dissolve, to merge.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><em>Ivalyou:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong>Ma\u1e45tra and Phonetics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Ivalyou\u00a0<\/em>is indeed a\u00a0<em>ma\u1e45tra<\/em>\u00a0if we consider the phonetic meaning as given in the ancient texts of Vedic Wisdom Tradition.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><em>Aitareya \u0101ra\u1e47yaka, \u0100k\u0101\u015ba Bhairava Tantra, Abhinava-gupta\u2019s Tantras\u0101ra, Bhart\u1e5bhari\u2019s V\u0101kya-pad\u012bya\u1e41<\/em>\u00a0and other texts give details of the energy contained in the phonemes of sound. The\u00a0<em>r\u0323s\u0323i<\/em>\u00a0 of modern times, the seer-sage, Dr. David Frawley, explains this lucidly in his\u00a0<em>Mantra Yoga and Primal Sound (2012)<\/em>. A huge body of ancient work and commentaries over the last millennium has been devoted by seers to explore the inherent energy resonances of these seed- sound-syllables.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Ivalyou<\/em>\u00a0comprises six distinct phonemes or seed syllables. Interestingly, they are all vowels (including two semi-vowels) of the Sa\u1e43sk\u1e5bt alphabet.
